The most widely-distributed camping site guidebook in the world, the „Camping-Caravaning-Führer“, published by ADAC (Allgemeiner Deutscher Automobil-Club e.V) selected 105 Croatian camping sites in this year's edition amongst a total of  5.430.

ADAC's commission visits European camping sites throughout the year and carries out an evaluation amongst 5 categories whilst for each sector the maximum of 5 stars is assigned. Valuable points are given to the camping site for:

- sanitary equipment,
- construction and equipment of lots,
- facilities within the camping site,
- free time activities and
- free time entertainment and programmes.

ADAC’s “Yellow Plaque” is assigned to camping sites that, during the evaluation team’s last visit, achieved an excellent result in the category of sanitary arrangement with a score of 4 or 5 stars and won at least 3 stars for organisation of the camping place. So the two most important categories for camping site equipment were achieved in this way and the acknowledgment was assigned for a period of one year so that each year the strict ADAC criteria must be satisfied.
